Hi all of you "Space Cadets" I have some good information to pass on.

I finally got  the Wizbang co. Acme Electronic 23 page web site up and running!

The web site, Wizbang co. Acme Electronics, was free from somewhere I would like to give them credit but I don't remember and http://110mb.com is the Free Web Provider I have it running on.

By Free I mean I ain't paying sh** for nothing! If they ain't giving I ain't getting.

Let me tell you some of what I went through to get this site up and running.

When I got some investment cash about two years ago I thought If I could teach my self to wright web pages I might some day make my cash back by putting together pages for other people and local small businesses.

I knew about Freeware from Win 98 with dial up and I knew about alternate operating systems from reading but I went with Vista and when  I found Windows Live Spaces and all of the Free Software Microsoft lets us play with I tried it all and have not had time to check out Solaris or the others.  (I love Free Bata Software.)

Now as much as I love Windows Live, it will not work with the Visual Studio 2005-2008 pro. Also Free from Microsoft.

Then Microsoft came out with Popfly and Silverlight both free and I spent a lot of time learning them, and then learned that only people with them could see the things I did with them, and what good is a page no one can see?

I am now up to six different Free Web Pages that I have set up and my viewers, you, may follow the links to my sample pages and quickly see if you want what the Free Web Page providers have to offer. I have Two pages of possible Free Web Page providers to get to, and there seems to be more every day. If you know of a good one let me know, I'll add you to my top friends list or something.

Wile I was Google searching for Free Web Pages I found many templates for web pages but all were the style sheets and first page only and I needed samples of multiple pages. After going through over 350 pages (and getting a bad headache) I found Wizbang Co.  When I ran the web site on my local machine it worked fine, bot when I put it on my Popfly web space it didn't quite work. (Not long after that I gave up on Popfly!)

All of this got put back on the get to it some day list, and I worked on other Free Web Pages.

When I found http://110mb.com it was late at night and I did not notice the password box was one character shorter than the password I typed it accepted all but the last letter, then when I tried to sign in the same password was rejected for being to long. (Try figuring that one out) I reset the password and got far enough to put three links on an otherwise blank page and couldn't quite get 110mb's web developer to work so again it went to the get to it some day list.

The next time I got to it I was trying to clean out my seven notebooks and came back to it. I remembered I had changer the pass word and when to my Hotmail Email accounts to find the new information. It took a long time for me to figure out I must have used my yahoo Email account. I also found the Email telling me the password had been reset was the first one, I had also reset the password wile trying to get there web developer to work. I still have not got it working but the online tools let me get started and I can live with them for now.

The thing I want you to take away from all of this is, if ~W~ Neil went to all of this trouble to get this to work, it must be good.

Some of the features http://110mb.com offers for free are:

2. 10Mb file uploads
3. 10Gb bandwidth a month
4. PHP 5.1.4
5. XML support
6. FTP Access (I haven't got this working yet)
7. online file manager
8. ASP support

There are other things that I don't know about yet.

The most important thing to me is we can build these pages with XML, PHP, and ASP.  if you don't know what these are your Okay but you should look them up. The point is we can wright our pages any way we want them and run them for Free. Real code not just fill in the blank profiles.

Hi. Wile I was setting up Free Web Sites I have had friends request as perhaps you have too. At first it seems like a good thing, we all like to have friends. Friends mean readers of our words and viewers for our art.

The problem with that is that just like the rest of life, you don't want everyone for your friend.  Someone I know let everyone onto her friend list, soon she was getting all kinds of strange crap. She still can not use her IM because some nut still tries to contact her every time she is on line. He won't be blocked!

Not all request are the same! Some are for your web space others are for the instant messenger. I don't need IM friends.

The first thing you should do is click on the part of the friend request that takes you to that persons web page, if there settings won't let you see there page, for Windows Live Spaces you can leave them a message sending to this page, Http://MyWorldAndWelcome.spaces.live.com to view the settings.wmv file in the "This one" box. (The file is hosted in the Files link on this page, also called SkyDrive by the way. I bet you wondered what that was good for. I think I used "Free Screen Recorder" for the video.)

Mostly if you click on the persons pitcher you will be redirected to there page. See If this is a person you have anything in common with.

I get friend request that I can not read some times. I will keep a translator near the top of my page, If your spaces is not in English and you have a translator I would like to try it but with out the ability to communicate friendship is hard. 

That is a no.

When you make a friend request, don't just send the default friend request, for example I got this:

I do work late, maybe I got creative. Maybe not, three request down is the same word for word request.

At least say some thing about the persons site that you liked. It can be about there pitchers, what they said in there blog, or even there choice of colors, but something to let this person know you cared enough to look at there site.

Hi everyone, I have been busy! My wife Tami woke me up yesterday and asked if I would like to go listen to Bill Clinton telling us why we should vote for Hillary Clinton. I started to role over and go back to bed, after all, I don't like Bill or Hillary Clinton. (I don't like Obama or McCain ether and I am writing in Shawn Hannity for President and Dave Ramsey for vice.)

Then I thought wait a minuet, this is my chance to heckle Bill Clinton! Too Cool! I got dressed and hurried to the court house where Tami was holding a space right in front of where Bill would be speaking. I had fun!

I will post about the whole thing when I get back, we have to run some errands and get the Baker City Harold with Tami's pitcher on the front page with Bill and I will be posting the cool pitchers I took.
