So what have I learned about Popfly so far?

Besides how fun it is? Well to start with Popfly lets us have control of our spaces like never before! Not only can we do a lot with the online tools, but with Visual Studio 2008 (also free from Microsoft) we have complete control of our pages. Which is good for me. I can screw this thing up all I want and post about what I learned doing it, thus making me look like I am smart, I mean, look at all he has learned. What could be more fun than that?

So, What can you learn from me? Did you know that some web pages use index.html as the default first page others like Popfly, use default.htm I tried renaming my index.html to default.htm and it worked some what, I cut and pasted my index.html into the default.htm it worked somewhat too. I got the first page of a twenty three page web sight  looking real good but the rest of the pages were lacking all of the color and header information. I bet it has to do with the CSS page, lets see something style sheet? I'll look that up. Cascading Style Sheet, that's it. Here is a link to some classes on them.

I think that will make a link. Here's what I did. I right clicked on the Google listing and hit copy short cut then on

Windows Live Writer I right clicked and hit pasts special.  Then I changed the address a little so it comes up on a home page, I hope, I'll test the method on this post and find out. I know I will be checking them out. I tell you when they say "All free" there singing my song. W3 Schools, I never heard of them but they say there the biggest. They look good.

Another fun thing I tried was making a Popfly Mash up. An easy one only two modules, but the key word here is easy. I just drug the first block and told it fifty flowers and drug the second and connected then and soon had a globe of flowers spinning on my page. (I didn't keep it, make your own)

Have you seen Gogofrog? I have to play with that some more, maybe this weekend. It's a 3d web sight. Free like all the things I test. You can have up to thirty something walls to build rooms or hall ways, each wall can hold four pitchers or text and a pitcher, or a door  which I think must be links.

I hate to say, I can't remember who turned me on to it, but thank you.
