Hay, It worked! Astute-Paradox's Popfly page
Hi guys, guess what I just got Visual Studio Web Developer 2008, Popfly and a free web template to work together! You have to see this! ~W~ Neil
In case it don't sound like a big deal check this out.
- Just over one year ago I was running on a Windows 98se. with dial up.
- I hadn't programmed sense computers had punch cards complete with hanging Chad's.
- I was an artiest with a good life, but no job.
- I invested $1.000 in my self and I bought an up to date computer with Vista.
- Found MSDN2, Visual Studio, Windows Live, and now Popfly.
- Taught my self enough to find and install Visual Studio, make a Popfly web page, down load that page, switch it for a free template, change index.html to default.htm, and up load it back to my Popfly page.
I did it! It Worked! My wife Tami and I thought hard about if I should learn coding or web page building first and decided small business people would need people to make web pages for them.
Tonight it all came together! Well Okay, not all, but a lot of it!Well, that was fun, now back to work.
The template I am using is "Wizbangcompany, Acme Electronics" it was submitted in 2005. I don't remember the web space I got it from and as yet I have found no author name or contact information. If I do I will be glad to credit them. It is twenty three pages long with each page having a witty sample paragraph showing how the page may be used. I didn't want to throw out all that work, and besides, it's cute. What I decided to do is leave the original information on the pages and put my "real" information above it.
If you have not seen Popfly check it out! If you need help, let me know, I'm on a role!
